KRISTINA GIYAUR
Kristina practices in the areas of health care law, commercial litigation, as well as corporate and business law. She regularly appears in trial and appellate courts on behalf of the firm's corporate and individual clients. Kristina’s knowledge and experience as an aggressive advocate serve her equally well when counseling clients on litigation–avoidance strategies. This makes her an exceptionally effective counsel to the firm’s corporate and health care clients who cannot afford protracted litigation, which can often be avoided through careful planning.
Kristina’s transactional practice focuses on various corporate matters, regulatory compliance, and drafting employment and service agreements for the health industry clients of Khenkin & Sauchik. Her experience includes counseling clients on establishing, purchasing and selling medical, dental and other practices, dealing with regulatory issues, drafting and negotiating health care agreements, including managed care contracts, fraud and abuse prevention and compliance, and counseling health care clients on operational issues.
Kristina holds a graduate degree in clinical psychology and has experience working in both private and public sectors of the health care industry. In addition to her experience as a mental health practitioner, Kristina has over seven years of experience in medical administration. Through education and experience Kristina has gained special expertise in the area of health care law, which she now applies to advise clients of Khenkin & Sauchik on a wide range of regulatory, compliance and corporate matters.
Kristina is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and New York State Bar Association.
Kristina has native fluency in Russian and basic knowledge of French. |
